Virginia Union University's
Ny Langley scored 11 points and five steals, but Fayetteville State University defeated the Lady Panthers 64-55 on Thursday, January 11, in Fayetteville, N.C.
VUU's
Bruni Martinez grabbed eight rebounds to lead Virginia Union on the boards.
"We made some big mistakes late in the third and fourth quarters that resulted in 32 turnovers," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "You cannot win a game turning the ball over that much. We have a lot of self reflection that needs to be done and some adjustments that need to be made going into our game Saturday."
Virginia Union will now host Cheyney University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
