Virginia Union University's
Ny Langley scored a game-high 24 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 77-64 win over Claflin University on Thursday, December 7, in Orangeburg, S.C.
VUU's
Naeva Rene grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the win.
"Claflin is one of the hardest working opponents we play every season, and it's always tough to play at their place," said VUU Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "We talked about playing as a team and playing with intelligence before the game. We had an impressive 15 assists and 15 steals as a team in this game. We shot 48.3% from the field and 45.5% from the 3-point line. I'm very proud of how they came together, played hard, and played for each other. We have to bring that same intensity as we face Augusta on Saturday."
Virgina Union will now travel to Augusta, Ga., to face Augusta University at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 9.
