Virginia Union University's
Camary Harris scored a team-high 13 points, but Barton College defeated the Lady Panthers 71-62 on Saturday, December 30, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
VUU's
Taniah Johnson added 11 points while teammate
Ny Langley led the Lady Panthers with six rebounds.
"Barton came out and played with intensity and we did not match that energy the entire game," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "We gave up 11 boards and had 16 turnovers. Those stats add up and work against you. We have to distribute the ball better and go back to playing our defense as we prepare for Saint Augustine's next Thursday."
VUU now travels to Raleigh, N.C., to face Saint Augustine's University on Thursday, January 4, at 5:30 p.m.
