Box Score Virginia Union University's Tahj Harding scored 19 points to lead VUU to a 70-67 win over Paine College on Friday, December 1, in Augusta, Ga.

VUU's Jakobe Williams and Jonathan Salazar scored 10 points apiece while Salazar and Jonathan King had five rebounds apiece.

"This was a hard-fought game against a very talented Paine College team, said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach Jay Butler.  "We knew coming in that it was going to be a tough and physical game. I thought our bench was fantastic tonight. David Pope and Joseph Allen III made some huge plays in the second half that allowed us to take the lead. Jonathan Salazar was solid scoring on the block and Jakobe Williams returned to Paine to give us a spark in the first half. It was also Tahj Harding's birthday, and he did a good job attacking the basket in the second half to help us close out the game."

Virginia Union will now face Augusta University at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 3, in Augusta, Ga.
