Virginia Union University's
Nevaeh Reaves scored 20 points, but Emory & Henry College defeated the Lady Panthers 75-68 in overtime at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va., on Saturday, November 25.
VUU's
Ny Langley scored 15 points while teammate
Taniah Johnson added 11 points in the game.
Virginia Union's
Brittini Martin scored 10 points while she and Langley had six rebounds apiece.
"Our start to this game did not match our energy and effort at the end of the game," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "Emory & Henry came here pursuing a win and played extremely hard to get it. We made it to overtime but did not set the tone early in OT. We have to take this one on the chin, regroup, and come back better."
VUU will now host The Apprentice School at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, December 1, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
