Virginia Union University's
Nevaeh Reaves scored 18 points as the Lady Panthers went to 4-0 with a 75-56 win over The Apprentice School on Tuesday, November 21, in Newport News, Va.
VUU's
Ny Langley added 14 points while teammate
Bruni Martinez grabbed a team-high eight rebounds in the win.
"We obviously have some improvements to make moving forward," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "We had a very rocky start to our game. We cannot allow our opponent to grab 22 offensive rebounds, but credit to them for working that hard on the boards. On a positive note, we picked up a road win, had 14 assists, five blocks, and 15 steals.
Nevaeh Reaves stepped up big with 18 points and
Ny Langley contributed 14. Defensively,
Mahogony Collins was a difference maker with five blocks. After we enjoy time with our families we will come back ready to work on the things we saw tonight and prepare for Emory & Henry after the Holiday."
Virginia Union will host Emory & Henry College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 25, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
