Box Score Virginia Union University's Tahj Harding scored 21 points as VUU rolled to a 102-72 win over Cheyney University in the first round of the Chris Paul HBCU Tip-Off Classic held on Saturday, November 18, in Uncasville, Conn.

VUU's Jakobe Williams had 13 assists and five steals while teammate Jonathan King had 15 points and nine rebounds.

"This was a good team win today for us," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach Jay Butler.  "I thought the guys came out focused and locked in for the first game in the CP3 tournament. I was very pleased with Tahj Harding's play today. He came out and did a good job of scoring with the basketball early. Jakobe Williams played a good floor game and led us with 13 assists. Jonathan Salazar did a solid job rebounding the ball, giving us 13 rebounds off the bench. I'm looking forward to playing in the championship game tomorrow. It will be a good test early for this young group to prepare us for CIAA play."

Virginia Union will play Winston-Salem State University, who defeated Tuskegee University 65-59, in the championship game of the Chris Paul HBCU Tip-Off Classic at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, in Uncasville, Conn.
