Virginia Union University's Ny Langley scored 22 points and had seven rebounds as VUU downed Millersville University on the first day of the PSAC-CIAA Conference Challenge on Friday, November 10, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

It marked the first time the Lady Panthers had a season-opening win since 2019.

VUU's Taniah Johnson scored 16 points in the win.

"Our team approached our home opener with a lot of passion and energy said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  "We asked them to set the tone early in the game and they did. Millersville is always a tough opponent, so we are proud of how our team executed and played together. Ny Langley's 22 points and 7 rebounds along with Taniah Johnson's 16 points made it a great night in the Barco. We need to tackle our next game with the same enthusiasm."

VUU will face East Stroudsburg University on the second day of the PSAC-CIAA Conference Challenge at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 12, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
