Virginia Union University's
Ny Langley scored a team-high 14 points and grabbed eight rebounds, but Elizabeth City State University defeated the Lady Panthers 64-49 on Thursday, January 26, in Elizabeth City, N.C.
VUU's
Taniah Johnson also added 10 points in the game for the Lady Panthers.
"We went away from what was working for us in the first half and gave up 16 offensive boards in the game," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "Ultimately it was not scoring but bad shot selection and falling asleep on defense that resulted in a loss."
VUU will now return home to Barco-Stevens Hall to face Shaw University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, in Richmond, Va.
