Amilex Lopez-Ayala led the Lady Panthers with 12 kills while
Maysun Creery had 13 defensive digs.

Virginia Union's
Ashlee Franklin had 17 assists and VUU's
Jade Lane added two blocks.

This win also marked the third straight match in which the Lady Panthers defeated their opponent by a 3-0 score. Â

The four-game win streak and the 3-0 wins are the first time a VUU volleyball team has accomplished the feat since 2018.

"I'm really proud of our ladies last night starting to implement practice into the game," said VUU Head Volleyball Coach
Joe Sullivan. "We are religiously working to make each of our players' weaknesses their strengths."

Virginia Union now travels to Bowie, Md., to take on Bowie State University at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 29.
