Virginia Union University's football team received commitments from 14 student-athletes to continue their playing careers for the Panthers in the 2022 season.
The list includes 13 high school players and one junior college transfer.
VUU's Head Football Coach, Dr.
Alvin Parker, released the names of the recruits during a Football National Signing Day Celebration at River City Roll in Richmond, Va.
"Our initial signing day class is loaded with a great amount of talent," said Parker. "We were able to secure ten high quality players from our backyard of Virginia and four student-athletes from four other states (California, North Carolina, Delaware and Florida). The staff did a great job of Identifying 14 players who met some of our immediate needs. Recruiting will continue for us until the NCAA period ends. We look forward to the arrival of this new class for the fall 2022 semester."
Virginia Union kicks off the 2022 season when the Panthers play host to Virginia University of Lynchburg in the Willard Bailey Classic on Thursday, September 1.
