Virginia Union University's Amilex Lopez-Ayala had 10 kills while senior teammate Maysun Creery had 12 defensive digs, but Elizabeth City State University defeated the Lady Panthers 27-25, 25-21, 25-12 on Monday, October 31, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Ashlee Franklin had 21 assists in the match.
"It was a tough loss tonight," said VUU Head Volleyball Coach Joe Sullivan. "We will have to learn from our mistakes and regroup for Monday."
Virginia Union finished the 2022 regular season in fourth place in the Northern Division of the CIAA. The Lady Panthers are in sixth place overall in the conference.
VUU will now prepare to compete in the 2022 CIAA Volleyball Championship Tournament, which will begin on Monday, November 7.
