Ny Langley scored a career-high 30 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 78-70 win over Shaw University on Saturday, January 29, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
VUU's
Olivia Lynch also scored a career-high 15 points while
Ceanna Kinney led the Lady Panthers on the boards with nine rebounds.
"I feel like we played great team basketball today," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "We came out with great energy and we made the right plays at the right time. We're very excited about the outcome of this game because we put in the work to get there."
Lynch and
Darryn Zeigler led the team with four assists while
Aaliyah Bevans had five blocks.
Virginia Union now faces Johnson C. Smith at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 2, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
