VSU Spoils Lady Panthers' Home Finale

Virginia Union University's Amilex Lopez-Ayala had 11 kills while teammate Maysun Creery had 18 defensive digs, but Virginia State University defeated the Lady Panthers 25-21, 25-21, 25-15 on Thursday, November 4, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
 
The loss snapped a two-match win streak for the Lady Panthers and was the final home game for VUU in the 2021 season.
 
Creery also had two service aces while VUU's Denise Burk had 19 assists.
 
Virginia Union's Jaelyn Bedell had two blocks in the match.
 
VUU now wraps up the 2021 regular season when the Lady Panthers travel to Elizabeth City, N.C., to face Elizabeth City State University at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8.
