Jasmine Carter in scoring while she had seven rebounds, and
Peyton Evans with her scoring and two rebounds. Other bright spots included
Ndeye Rose Fall, who scored 11 points on 5-for-5 shooting from the field. Â
Shameka McNeill chipped in for 10 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Breonn Hughey added nine points, two rebounds, and two assists on 3-for-3 shooting from behind the arc. Our biggest bright spot was
Ymani Breedlove who contributed eight points and five rebounds on 4-for-6 shooting from the field in nine minutes. It was a fun game. Our defense showed up big, holding the Falcons to just 47 points. We're moving the ball very well as we are averaging 89 points in the last two games."

The win, in a non-conference matchup, was the ninth straight for the Lady Panthers and raised their record to 10-1. Saint Augustine's fell to 5-7.

Virginia Union now travels to Orangeburg, S.C., to face Claflin University in another non-conference game at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 9.
