Jordan Peebles scored a team-high 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, but Catawba College defeated the Panthers in their home-opener 84-69 on Wednesday, November 13, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Peebles hit eight of 12 shots from the field in the game.

"When you're playing a team that played in the NCAA Regional Finals last year you got to limit your mistakes," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach
Jay Butler. "I thought we showed flashes but we got to be more consistent on the defensive end and rebounding the basketball. I was very proud of
Jordan Peebles' play. He rebounded the ball well and attacked the basket."
Virginia Union will host Benedict College at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 19, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
