A'rmaria Wright had 25 assists to lead the Lady Panthers to their first-ever win over Chowan University 25-23, 24-26, 26-28, 25-21, 15-9 on Sunday, October 14, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
The win broke a streak of 24 straight defeats at the hands of Chowan dating back to when the Hawks first joined the CIAA in 2008.

Ambryanna Moore had eight blocks, two service aces and 11 kills in the win.
VUU's
Jamaica Adams led the backcourt with 24 defensive digs.
The win raised Virginia Union's record to 8-12 overall and 7-4 overall. Chowan fell to 8-12 overall and 8-5 in the CIAA.
