Donaldson Reaches 2,000 Yard Plateau

Virginia Union University's Tarian Donaldson rushed for 81 yards and a touchdown, but Elizabeth City State University downed VUU 17-14 in Elizabeth City, N.C., on October 9.

Donaldson became only the third Panther in the last 10 years to reach the 2,000-yard plateau in his career.  The senior running back from Virginia Beach, VA, now has 2,022 career yards.

VUU got on the board first with a four-yard run by Jerell Washington, but Elizabeth City State tied the score with a six-yard from Creven Powell to Marquis Harper.

ECSU went ahead on a one-yard run by Deronte McNeill with 3:40 left in the first half.

VUU came back to tie the score when Donaldson burst through the line and scampered 13 yards for a score.

ECSU's winning score came when kicker Devon Pike booted a 34-yard field goal.

The loss dropped to 1-5 on the season while Elizabeth City State raised it's record to 4-2.
