HAMPTON,VA – VUU Defensive Lineman Davon Clark was named CIAA Defensive Lineman of the Week for his performance against Fort Valley State University for the Week ending on September 13^th.  Clark anchored a defensive line that held Fort Valley's offense scoreless in the contest.  The Wildcats got their only points of the contest on a safety, lending a final score of 27-2.  VUU's Defense is currently ranked #1 in the nation in Total Defense by the NCAA.  Through the first 3 contests, the Panthers have only given up 487 yards of total offense. 

The Panthers have gotten off to a 2-1 start this season.  VUU will take the field again on Saturday, September 20^th when they take on the Golden Bulls of Johnson C.
