HAMPTON, VA - VUU strong safety André LeBlanc (FR/6-0/205/Lithonia, GA)was named CIAA Rookie of the Week for his performance against Saint Augustine's College over the weekend. LeBlanc had an impressive defensive showing for the Panthers in their 30-14 homecoming victory over the Falcons. He recorded 2 interceptions with 62 yards in returns against SAC. He added 5 tackles and 2 pass break-ups in his performance.
The Panthers have gotten off to a 5-0 start this season, which is their best start since the 1991 season. The Panthers will return to action on Saturday, October 6th when they travel to Charlotte, NC to take on the Golden Bulls of Johnson C. Smith University.
