Sean is the real thing: a passionate player, born to a family of players, who has made a name for himself with the golfing community, while honoring the legacy of his father, uncle, and aunt, all of whom attended VUU.
A single digit handicapper, Sean may be better known as the rare “long driver” who can hit a golf ball far further than most players.
Over the years, he’s qualified for several Virginia State Open and State AM events. Sean participated in the ReMax Long Drive Events in Las Vegas 4 times, where his longest ball flew an astounding 412 yards.
While majoring in math and computer science at VUU, Sean played on the golf team under Coach Alvin Hunter and Coach Donald Coleman. He continued to play after college, even as he built a twenty year career in the construction industry.
A native of Greensboro, North Carolina, Sean has been married to Danielle Bowers, a top-performing real estate professional, for fifteen years. They have five children, ranging in age from nine to twenty-one. In 2019 Sean’s father, Alphonso Bowers, was inducted into the VUU Hall of Fame in recognition of numerous championships during his own time on the golf team
