Franck Charles

Collegiate Career at Virginia Union University

Following in the footsteps of his brother, Berfrantz Charles, Franck chose to attend Virginia Union University (VUU), where he made an immediate impact. His first eligible season came in the fall of 2012, where he placed 4th at the CIAA Cross Country Championship, clocking 26:22 in the 8k. From 2012 to 2016, Charles became one of VUU's most decorated athletes across cross country, indoor, and outdoor track & field.

College Coaching

In the fall of 2019, Charles returned to his alma mater, Virginia Union University, as a volunteer assistant coach for the cross-country team. That season, the program went on to secure its third conference championship under his guidance. In March 2021, Charles was named Head Coach of both the Track & Field and Cross Country programs at VUU. Since taking the helm, his teams have flourished-achieving historic results both athletically and academically.
