Dexter Price received his Bachelor of Science degree in health and physical education from Shaw university. He was a starting guard on the basketball team from 1985 to 1989. He earned his Varsity letters each year a play, averaging 12 points per game. He was the captain of the basketball team. He was selected athlete of the year and role model the year Shaw University 1988. He was a all Marine Corps basketball player from 1978 to 1985. He also attended DeMatha Catholic High School and graduated from Anacostia High School where he was in all star player. He coached in the United States Marine Corps, East Wake High School, and DC public schools. He currently work for Henrico County Public Schools where he was named health and physical education teacher of the year 2023.
