Guy Walton has been the head coach of the Virginia Union University men's and women's tennis teams since 2000. As head coach, Walton is responsible for the daily operations of the VUU tennis teams.
During his tenure at Virginia Union, Walton's men's tennis team was earned highest Grade Point Average in the Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) in 2010-11.
In 2011 Walton was named the United State Tennis Association Mid-Atlantic/Virginia Collegiate Coach of the Year.
In 2003-04, both the men's and women's tennis teams earned the Highest Grade Point Award at VUU.
In 2012 Walton received his USTA high performance certification.
In 2011 and in 2012, Walton was named a Zonal Coach by the USTA.
Walton has been a tennis instructor for the City of Richmond Department of Parks and Recreation since 2001.
