Ryan Finck is entering his first season as the VUU Offensive Line Coach.
Prior to Virginia Union, Finck spent two seasons working as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach at the University of Alabama working alongside Eric Wolford. In his two seasons Alabama posted a record of 23-4 with a Sugar Bowl Victory over Kansas State, 45-20 (2022) and a College Football Playoff berth for the 2023-2024 season. In his two seasons, Finck helped coach 5 All-SEC performers: Emil Ekiyor, Javion Cohen & Tyler Steen (2022) as well as JC Latham and Tyler Booker (2023). Tyler Steen was drafted in the 2023 NFL draft by the Philadelphia Eagles. JC Latham was drafted 7th overall in the 2024 NFL draft by the Tennessee Titans.
Prior to Alabama, Finck Spent two seasons working as the Assistant Offensive Line Coach working alongside John Schlarman and Eric Wolford. In those two seasons Kentucky won both bowl games, the Taxslayer Gator Bowl over NC State (2020) as well as the VRBO Citrus Bowl over Iowa (2021). In 2021 The Big Blue Wall was named a finalist for the Joe Moore Award, given to the most outstanding offensive line in FBS football. During those seasons, Finck helped coach 4 All-SEC performers: Landon Young and Drake Jackson (2020) as well as Luke Fortner and Darian Kinnard (2021). Landon Young was drafted in the 2021 NFL draft by the New Orleans Saints while Luke Fortner was drafted in the 2022 NFL draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Prior to Kentucky, Finck spent a season as Offensive Graduate Assistant and worked alongside Offensive Line Coach Bart Miller. During that season Ryan helped coach All Mountain West OL Logan Harris and Keegan Cryder. Wyoming finished with an 8-5 record in 2019 and defeated Georgia State in the NOVA Arizona Bowl 38-17. Prior to his hiring at Wyoming, Finck served as a Graduate Assistant at Ohio University in 2018 The Ohio Bobcats posted a 9-4 record in 2018 and defeated San Diego State 27-0 in the DXL Frisco Bowl. During that season Finck helped coach 2 All-MAC performers Joe Lowery and Joe Anderson.
Finck is a childhood leukemia survivor and graduated from Heidelberg in 2016 with his bachelor’s degree in communication and his master’s degree in 2018 in education. He was a four-year letterman in football at Heidelberg University. Finck is a native of Hebron, Ky., and a 2012 graduate of Conner High School.
Finck is the son of Michele and David Finck, has an older sister, Miranda and a younger brother, Bret. Finck is currently engaged to his Fiancé, Miranda Zapata.
