Lane Washington

Hailing from Washington, D.C., Lane has been immersed in sports his entire life. 

Born and raised in Washington, D.C., Lane’s life has revolved around sports from an early age. He served as the Assistant Director of Football Operations and Assistant to the Head Football Coach at Bethune-Cookman University for four seasons. During his time there, the football program won four conference championships between 2013 and 2017. Lane graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a minor in International Affairs, and soon after joined Florida Citrus Sports in 2018.

While at Florida Citrus Sports, he served as Assistant to the Chair of the Consortium and also worked as Assistant to the Director of Game and Team Operations. Later that year, his role shifted as he became Assistant to the Director of Bowl Game Operations for both the Pop-Tart Bowl and the New Year’s Six Cheez-It Citrus Bowl. He also worked as Assistant to the Director of Team Operations and served as the practice coordinator for both bowl games and all four participating teams.

After his time at Florida Citrus Sports, Lane earned his Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership in 2022 from Bethune-Cookman University. He is also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Now entering his third year at Virginia Union University, Lane has been a part of back-to-back conference championship teams. He has also taken on an additional role as Offensive Analyst.
