Virginia Union University Athletics

Eric Acciani is in his first season as quarterbacks coach of the Panthers. 

Acciani arrives at Virginia Union from Old Dominion University, where he was the offensive line graduate assistant for three seasons and on the Monarchs coaching staff for an additional 2 years as the offensive quality control coach. 

Prior to Old Dominion, Acciani spent the 2015 season as the offensive coordinator for the Allgaü Comets of the German Football League. While in Germany, Acciani helped the Comets to the finals of the European Football League and a No. 6 ranking in Europe. He has an additional eight years of coaching experience, where he served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Diamond Bar High School and El Toro High School in Southern California. 

A native of Chino Hills, California, Acciani received his bachelor's in history from California State University, Fullerton, and master's in educational administration from Old Dominion University. He and his partner, Taylor, have two incredible daughters, Lincoln and Crosby.
