Virginia Union University Golf Team competed in the 2025 CIAA Golf Championship Tournament on April 14th & 15th, 2025. The tournament was hosted at The Magnolia Green Golf Club in Leland, North Carolina. Magnolia Green Golf Club is known as the area's top local favorite. The Club offers 27 outstanding holes of golf and is recognized as one of the top golf courses in the Southeast and has hosted several PGA and USGA qualifying events. The CIAA Championship was contested on two of the three nine holes courses, The Magnolia and Camellia Courses. The tournament was a 54-hole tournament. The final day was a challenge to all the golfers with wind gusts up to 35 miles per hour. There were eight CIAA Conference teams competing in The 2025 CIAA Championship Golf Tournament. VUU's Team scoring was led 1st Year Grad Student
Joseph Graham finished 12th with a score of 232 (79/79/74), followed by
Zaccheus Spann 2nd Year Grad Student finished 14th, with a score of 235 (77/78/80), followed by Sophomore
Benjamin Nicholson who finished 16th with a score of 236 (77/85/74), followed by
Brady Wood, Sophomore, finished 18th with a score of 238(76/78/84), followed by Sophomore
Joseph Boone who finished 26th with a score of 241 (84/75/82).
Also, during the CIAA Championship Award Banquet, Sophomore
Joseph Boone was announced as a member of the 2025 CIAA All Conference Team, while the VUU Golf Team was announced as the 2025 Northern Division Champions and the team also won the highest GPA Award with a 3.82 GPA.

We are now heading to The PGA Works Collegiate Championship in Whistling Straits in Wisconsin May 3rd-7th, 2025.
