Virginia Union University Golf Team competed in and were host to the 2025 CIAA Northern Division Golf Tournament on April 7
th & 8
th, 2025. The tournament was contested at The Lakeside Park Club (LPC) and The Country Club of Virginia's West Hampton Course. LPC golf course designed by world-renowned architect Donald Ross. The Country Club of Virginia's Westhampton's Course opened on June 18, 1910 and originally designed by Herbert Barker, renowned golf course architect Donald Ross redesigned the layout in 1920. Due to the inclement weather the tournament was originally scheduled for 54 holes and was reduced to a 36 hole tournament. In spite of the weather, it was a great challenge and experience for all the golfers.
There were nine teams competing in The 2025 Northern Division Golf Tournament. VUU's Team scoring was led 1

Joseph Graham finished 7
th with a score of 149 (74/75), followed by
Brady Wood, Sophomore, finished 10
th with a score of 150 (81/69), followed by Sophomore
Joseph Boone who finished 20
th with a score of 155 (79/76), followed by followed by Sophomore
Benjamin Nicholson who finished 30
th with a score of 159 (81/78), and followed by
Zaccheus Spann 2nd  Year Grad Student finished 40
th, with a score of 161 (81/80.
"This was a competitive CIAA Conference field and the VVU Golf Team responded well," said VUU Head Golf CoachÂ

Sean Bowers, the team responded and played very well in the final round with a score of 298. Our goal continues to be to break 300 and they responded with a team scoring average of 76.6. We are immensely proud of the way the guys persevered to the end. We continue to be immensely proud of the accomplishments of our VUU Golf Team on and off the golf course". We are now heading to Leland, North Carolina for the 2025 CIAA Championship Monday & Tuesday, April 14
th & 15
