Virginia Union University Golf team competed in the 2025 Darrell Foreman Invitational Golf Tournament on March 10th & 11th, 2025. The tournament was contested at the Cleveland Country in Cleveland, Mississippi. Cleveland Country Club is a par 72 18-hole Championship Golf Course with strong "links" style setup.
There were nine teams competing in The 2025 Darrell Foreman Invitational Golf Tournament. VUU Team scoring was led by 1st Year Grad Student
Joseph Graham finished T-18th with a score of 221 (74/71/76) followed by 2nd Year Grad Student
Zaccheus Spann T-22nd with a score of 222 (73/73/76), followed by Sophomore
Benjamin Nicholson T-29th with a score of 226 (71/76/79), followed by Sophomore
Joseph Boone 34th with a score of 229 (79/77/73) and followed by Sophomore
Brady Wood who also finished T-41st with a score of 237 (75/78/84).
"This was a very competitive Invitational Golf Tournament and the VVU Golf Team responded well," said VUU Head Golf Coach

Sean Bowers, the team responded and played very well in each competitive round. Our goal continues to be to break 300 and they responded with a team score of 894 (293/297/304) and a scoring average of 298. We are immensely proud of the way the guys persevered to the end. We continue to be immensely proud of the accomplishments of our VUU Golf Team on and off the golf course". We are now preparing for The CIAA Northern Division Tournament that we are hosting, April 7th & 8th. April 7th at Lakeside Park Club and April 8th at Country Club of Virginia, The West Hampton Course.
