The Virginia Union University women's basketball team will play in the inaugural Black College Invitational Championship to be held March 20-23 in Charlotte, N.C.

The Lady Panthers will play Allen University at 12:00 p.m. On Thursday, March 20, at Bojangles Coliseum.

"We would like to thank Dr. Bellamy for extending an invitation to the inaugural BCIC tournament," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  "Our young women worked extremely hard this year and deserve the recognition. We are excited and honored to hit the court one more time!"

This historic event will take place at the Bojangles Coliseum from March 20-23, 2025, and will feature high quality men's and women's postseason basketball with 16 Division I and Division II teams from the power four HBCU conferences competing for the crown of Black College Basketball Champion.
