Coach Terry Reflects on the Loss
Head Coach
Tierra Terry expressed frustration with her team's transition defense. "We tried to tell the team that Morgan Graham was the second-leading shot-blocker in the CIAA and she did her job, but the most disappointing thing was that we knew Fayetteville State was a good transition team and we didn't get back in transition. We have to take this game on the chin. This was a smack in the face. Fayetteville State is a very good team and it let us know where we are right now."
Coach Terry's candid reflection underscores the team's need for improvement in certain aspects of their play, particularly on defense. While the Panthers showed flashes of skill, the loss highlighted areas that will need attention before their next outing.
Looking Ahead
The Panthers will look to rebound on Thursday, February 13, when they host Bowie State University at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, VA, at 5:30 p.m. As the season progresses, Coach Terry and her team will use this tough loss as a learning experience, sharpening their focus for future match-ups.
