Virginia Union University's
Ny Langley scored 13 points and grabbed 13 rebounds, but Lincoln University of Pennsylvania defeated the Lady Panthers 60-51 on Saturday, February 3, in Lincoln University, Pa.
VUU's
Kiara Shepherd added 11 points while teammate
Rori Cox scored 10 points in the game.
Virginia Union is now 15-7 overall and is tied for first place in the CIAA Northern Division with a 4-1 divisional record.
"We lost sight of team basketball today," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "We let one player get 19 rebounds, had 24 turnovers, and missed 10 free throws. You cannot win a game with these types of errors. We have a lot to fix before we face them again on Wednesday night."
Virginia Union will meet Lincoln University again at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
