Lady Panthers Round Out Home Season with 84-75 Win

Virginia Union University's Ny Langley recorded a double-double for the second consecutive game as VUU downed Salem University 84-75 in the Lady Panthers' home finale on Thursday, February 17, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Langley led VUU with 18 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

VUU's Ymani Breedlove grabbed 11 rebounds while teammate Chris Alston scored 17 points.

Virginia Union's Raven Williams added 11 points and Darryn Zeigler scored 10 points in the win.

"Salem University plays a very tough, fast paced style of basketball, but we really locked in defensively in the fourth quarter and held them to 6 points," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  "We had four people in double digits, and Ny Langley showed her pure will and determination tonight with 18 points and 15 rebounds. We are really proud of our overall defensive effort tonight, and that is what won us this game."

VUU will wrap up the 2021-22 regular season when the Lady Panthers travel to Raleigh, N.C., to face Shaw University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 19.
