Virginia Union University's women's basketball team placed three players in double-figure scoring as the Lady Panthers defeated Bowie State University 60-44 on Thursday, February 10, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
VUU's
Ny Langley led the Lady Panthers with 16 points while
Ymani Breedlove and
Taniah Johnson added 10 points apiece.
Breedlove also led VUU on the boards with nine rebounds.
"Ny came through with 16 points, but we had three people in double-figures overall," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach
Tierra Terry. "We shot 46% from the field, 40% from beyond the 3-point line and 80% from the free throw line. Those are all good stats to have and contributes to a complete team win."
VUU now travels to Lincoln University, Pa., to face Lincoln University of Pennsylvania at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 12.
