Virginia Union University's Ny Langley scored 26 points, but Bowie State University defeated the Lady Panthers 65-56 on Wednesday, January 19, in Bowie, Md.

Langley went 8-for-13 from the field including hitting 5 of 7 three-pointers.

VUU's Ceanna Kinney grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds while teammate Taniah Johnson dished off a team-high six assists.

"We were not fully locked in defensively coming out in the 3rd quarter," VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry said.  "Their three-point shooters knocked down shots and we went through a scoring drought. Ny Langley kept us in the game with 26 points and CeCe Kinney snatched 13 rebounds.  In our victory versus Saint Augustine's University we had four people in double digits and that just did not happen tonight. We need to get refocused on preparing for a big home game versus Lincoln on Saturday.

VUU will face Lincoln University of Pennsylvania at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 22, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
