Lady Panthers Swept by Mansfield

Virginia Union University's Dominique Mulero slugged a two-run homer, but Mansfield University swept the Lady Panthers 6-4 and 11-0 on Saturday, March 7, at the VUU Softball Field in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Ericka Tiscareno struck out six over seven innings of work in the opener.

In the nightcap, Mulero moved to the pitching mound and struck out six in five innings of work while VUU's Brenda Reninga collected two hits.

Virginia Union now faces Bluefield State College in a double-header at the VUU Softball Field at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 9.
