Shareka McNeill scored 22 points while her sister and teammate
Shameka McNeill scored 11 points, including a 60-foot bomb to end the third quarter, as VUU motored to a 63-60 win over Fayetteville State University on Thursday, December 12, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Shareka McNeill, the nation's leading scorer, is now averaging 36.3 points per game.
The win also lifted the Lady Panthers to first place of the Northern Division of the CIAA, with The Lady Panthers now being 2-0 in conference play.

Shameka McNeill played well, finishing with 11 points, seven assists, six rebounds, and five steals. The trio of
Jasmine Carter,
Dy'Manee Royal, and
Ifunanya Okoye combined for 22 points and 23 rebounds. The play of
Kishona Sutton was huge in the final minutes as she contributed six points and four rebounds. It was a great overall team effort to seal the victory."
Okoye led the Lady Panthers on the boards with nine rebounds while
Shameka McNeill led VUU with seven assists.
The win was the fifth straight for the Lady Panthers, who are now 6-1 overall.
Fayetteville State fell to 3-6 overall and 2-1 in CIAA play.
Virginia Union now hosts Winston-Salem State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 14, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
