AnnMarie Gilbert. "Claflin came out and gave us their best game. They played hard for the full 40 minutes, and we just came up short."
The loss snapped an eight-game season-opening win streak for VUU.

The Lady Panthers fell to 8-1 overall and 0-1 in the CIAA. Claflin is now 6-4 overall and 4-1 in CIAA play.
Virginia Union now returns home to face Winston-Salem State University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 13, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
