Box Score Virginia Union University's Cheston Hickman passed for 143 yards and a touchdown, but Virginia State University defeated VUU 39-14 on October 29 in Petersburg, Va.

Hickman connected on 13 of 23 passes, including a long of 44 yards.

VUU's Terrance Malone rushed for 57 yards on 19 carries, including a three-yard run for a touchdown.

VUU's Antonio Harris led the Panthers with 14 tackles, including eight solo take-downs.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 4-5 overall and 2-4 in the CIAA.  VSU is now 5-4 overall and 4-3 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union wraps up the 2011 football season when the Panthers meet Fayetteville State University at 1:00 p.m. in Hovey Field in Richmond, Va.
