Former Virginia Union University standout Darius Hargrove has been named the Romanian Import Player of the Year.

Hargrove, who led CSU Asesoft Ploiesti to the 2010 EuroChallenge Championship, averaged 17.9 points per game in 2009-10 for Ploiesti.  Hargrove also had 112 rebounds, 88 assists and 66 steals in 38 games this past season.

Hargrove, who helped lead the Panthers to the 2005 National Title in men's basketball, also scored 100 points in six games of the 2010 EuroChallenge Tournament.

Hargrove was All-CIAA while playing for VUU in 2004 and 2005.
