Virginia Union University's Eddie Johnson has been named the CIAA Linebacker of the Week for his performance against Long Island University-Post on Saturday, September 3, in Hovey Field in Richmond, Va.

Johnson, a redshirt junior from Selma, Ala., led all players with 16 total tackles (sixth-most in a single game in VUU history) against LIU Post.  Johnson's 16 tackles were the most by a VUU player since Charles Davis had 17 tackles against the University of Charleston in 2014.

Johnson also recovered a fumble and returned it for 53 yards in the game.
