Hampton, VA… The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association Volleyball Coaches Association has selected its 2009 All-CIAA Volleyball Pre-Season Team.
VUU's Lashira Williams was named to the All-CIAA Pre-Season Outside Hitter Team. Williams was also featured in COBRA Magazine a volleyball publication that showcases African American players around the nation and tells their stories in hopes of inspiring younger black volleyball players who may not have immediate examples of success to reference in their communities.
The Lady Panthers will open up the 2009 season home against Barton College on September 1st at 6pm. They will be at Bowie State University on Thursday, September 3rd and Elizabeth City State University on Wednesday, September 9th.
