RICHMOND, VA – After defeating SPC 9-0 in Game 1 of a doubleheader, the Panthers went on to sweep the doubleheader by dropping the Tigers 9-0 in Game 2. In the doubles competition, VUU's top seeded pair Emanuel Sekeyere and Gil Hernandez improved from the earlier match, this time holding their opponents scoreless (8-0). At the end of the doubles competition, the Panthers mounted a 3-0 advantage.
The Panthers won each of their singles matches. #1 Emanuel Sekeyere led the way for Virginia Union, recording an 8-2 victory over SPC #1 Nelson Devalos. VUU's #2 Gil Hernandez and #5 James McLean both held their opponents scoreless (8-0) in singles competition.
